Escape from Big Fe - Part 3

O'hara was so full of herself. As she kept swimming, she felt like she already defeated the leader of the rebels. Her confidence was off the charts. She passed all the gates, and the finish line was in front of her. Fresh air was waiting. She totally walked over those scum!

Shame, in several seconds later everything crumbled--instantly.

"Kkh?!"

Suddenly O'hara's neck felt really heavy. Something was crushing it. Started slow, but in mere seconds the grip was tightened. O'hara's mind suddenly went blank. All in her mind were pain--absolute, crushing pain. She immediately lost the control of her breathold and started coughing her air out. She couldn't fight back or even move--her body just jerked around like a caught fish.

"Ggggh.... Nggghhhh...!"

It was Duvall. For some reason, the gate didn't crushed her into nothing. She did not have any speck of dust, her breatholding was in full control. In her eyes, there were only a pure intent to murder the spy. She kept tightening the grip, just slow enough to give O'hara the most painful death.

"Ggghh... Gi-gihhh..."

O'hara's mind wasn't able to comprehend the situation at all. It felt like a blackout, though the pain stayed all the way. But now, her mind started fading away. Her body stared limping, giving absolutely no resistance. It seemed like death's hand was already gripping her heart. But then--

Bang!

The sound of a gunshot. It was targeted towards Duvall, who after realizing it immediately released her grip and escaped. Through her blurry vision, O'hara saw a small silhouette closing on her. But that's all she could remember before passing out.
